I´ve made Windows Wallpaper and Desktop Pictures for myself and my friends from time to time over the years. Now I´ve decided to share them with my visitors on the Web. This page has dozens of wallpaper images free for your personal or non-profit use. I´ll be adding many more as time goes by.

To use Desktop Patterns Windows - Click on the `Download´ link and wait for the large image to finish loading. Then right-click on the image and select `Set as Wallpaper´. Macintosh - Click on the `Download´ link and wait for the large image to finish loading. Then press the mouse button on the image and hold the mouse still until a pop-up menu appears. Select `Download Image to Disk´ or `Save this Image as...´. Once the image is saved, go to the Appearance control panel and use the Remove Picture and Place Picture options to select it as the Desktop Picture.

		Detail   36 Styles		These 36 wallpaper styles are based on six of my digital collages which I use to explore the presentation of artistic detail in a Web gallery I call DETAIL. I´ve made each image available in six versions: large and small, and bright, dark and light (pale).

		Starry Felt  6 Styles		I intended these 6 styles to look like Van Gogh´s Starry Night, pressed into the sort of felt blotter that´s sometimes use on a desk. I picked the color variations to match Apple´s iMac colors and all the peripherals that are now available in those colors.

		Mindzeit  22 Styles		These 22 repeat patterns are from my Mindzeit screensaver. They provide a variety of psychedelic options if you prefer a repeating pattern rather than a large picture.

		Clearwater  4 Styles		I made these 4 wallpaper styles for Clearwater, a non-profit group devoted to cleaning up the Hudson River through education, advocacy, and musical celebration. Their work is based around the sloop Clearwater, a replica of the cargo vessels that plied the Hudson 150 years ago.
