Webpoetics Gallery Birds

Site Submission
February 25th for March Showing

Welcome to the Webpoetics Site Submission page. Webpoetics is a different way to browse the Web. Rather than selecting sites by name, topic or author, visitors to this gallery choose their destination by reading short poetry.

Web authors are invited to submit a short poem and a URL. The URL should be an original Web site intended as an artistic work in itself, or as a presentation of your work. The poem should be your own, so that visitors know who wrote it simply by following the link.

Your poem must be 128 characters or less (including spaces and punctuation) and I would prefer a haiku-like format of 3 or 4 lines with no title. My intention is to give visitors a quick poetic snapshot of your style and taste. A reciprocal link would be appreciated but isn´t necessary.

This example shows how a poem for my Mondrimat Web site is presented. Visitors choose the destination by clicking on the flower.

Touch and go. Patti Smith
Brimming with de-light
Flesh plunges through time

The poems will be presented in random order so that each poem takes it´s turn near the top and near the bottom of the list. In addition, the number of visitors who select each poem will be counted and the results will be listed on the Visitor Counts page.

If the number of submissions is high, and the list of poems becomes too long, I may remove some of the less popular ones. Of course, this gallery is my own project so I´ll include or remove all submissions at my own discretion.

Touch and go. Submit a site by email.
Include your poem and URL.
